Morocco’s RS Berkane to Face Abidjan’s ASEC Mimosas in CAF Cup Quarter Finals

 


 Morocco’s Renaissance sportive of Berkane (RSB) will face the Ivorian team Abidjan’s ASEC Mimosas in the quarter-finals of the Confederation of African Football Cup (CAF), following the draw made in Doha on Thursday

The first leg of the quarter-final will take place on April 2 at the Ivorians’ home, while the return leg will be played on April 9 in Morocco

In the group phase, RSB dominated Group B, finishing first with 16 points without defeat

Lower House Speaker Holds Talks with Heads of Delegations Participating in Forum of Chairpersons of Foreign Affairs Committees of African Parliaments

 


Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, held a series of talks in Rabat on Thursday with the heads of delegations participating in the Forum of Chairpersons of Foreign Affairs Committees of African Parliaments.


The talks provided an opportunity to stress the importance of exchanging experiences and expertise, and of coordination in the various regional and international parliamentary forums, according to a press release from the House of Representatives.


During these talks, the delegations expressed their support to the House of Representatives’ initiative to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy, communication, cooperation and dialogue between parliamentarians within a framework of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, the press release added.


Talbi Alami held talks with the President of the National Assembly of the Central African Republic, Simplice Mathieu Sarandj, in the presence of the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Emilie Béatrice Epaye, and the Chairman of the Defense Committee, Jean Sosthène Dengbe.


The Lower House Speaker also met with the Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy of the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Isabel Eraul Ivina.


He also received the Chairwoman of the Defense Committee of the National Assembly of Angola, Ruth Adriano Mendes, and the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Alcides Sakala Simenos.

S'exprimant en marge de la 4ème Conférence ministérielle mondiale sur la sécurité routière, le ministre malawite du transport et des travaux publics, M. Jacob Hara, a salué le soutien continu apporté par le Royaume au peuple malawien, se félicitant du renforcement des liens bilatéraux qui a un impact concret sur le développement de son pays.


Le ministre a également souligné l'importance de la Conférence de Marrakech, un événement « inspirant, bien organisé et très enrichissant » qui a permis d'ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives et de prendre des engagements ambitieux en matière de sécurité routière.
